Nancy Sue Gardner, 78, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025.
She was born on September 16, 1946, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Ralph Aaron & G. Irene (Block) Arthur.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Bertha Mae Riccio; and brothers, Ralph "Cap" Owen Arthur and Raymond Eugene Arthur.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Dietrich of Calumet City, IL; daughter, Jennifer (Tommy Stelivan, Jr.) Gardner; sons, Don (Shawn) Gardner of Shelbyville, IL and Kristofer (Michelle Nelson) Gardner of Charleston, IL; 6 granddaughters, Andrea (Garrett), Sadie, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Raimi, and Piper; 4 grandsons, Jordan (Jasmine), Dayden, Zane (Isabelle), and Silas; and 5 great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Asher, Josette, Zander, and Irene.
Nancy retired from Hydro Gear in Sullivan, IL, where she worked as a skilled factory production worker. Since her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Abby, reading, and solving online puzzles.
