Constance "Connie" A. Staley of Springfield, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 30, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of W. Converse Staley and Ann Z. Staley.
She grew up at her family's lake house in Springfield, IL, where she found her love of nature. She enjoyed traveling and saw all fifty states in her life. Some of her favorite memories of traveling were watching the moon landing on an Alaskan cruise and getting to see Hawaii. She loved music as well and grew up playing the piano. Connie was active in theater, either being a part of the cast or as a director. She traveled to Russia to adopt her daughter, fulfilling her goal of motherhood. Most of all, she enjoyed becoming a grandmother in 2016. Connie was featured in many articles over the years and talked about adoption, acting as an advocate for other women who wanted children.
Connie loved to host parties and go out to dinner with friends. Sh
