M. Wayne Langhein, 84, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1940, in Victor, IA, the son of Milton and Netha (Maudlin) Langhein. He married Patricia Ann Sonichsen on September 6, 1964, and they spent almost 55 years together. She preceded him in death in May of 2019.
Wayne attended a one room country school for six years. Later, he attended junior and senior high school in Victor, IA. He received Jesus as his Savior and was baptized at Victor Baptist Church in 1947. Wayne then went on to graduate from the University of Iowa and Bethel Seminary in 1967. He worked for 27 years in the parachurch communication ministries. Wayne worked for Billy Graham's business office from 1965 until 1974, owned Fellowship Films from 1976 until 1989, and finished his career working for WLUJ radio station from 2009 until 2014.
