Janet Gail (Altig) McAtee, age 84, of Greenview, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Springfield Suites in Springfield, Illinois. She was born on March 10, 1940 in Oakford, Illinois, the daughter of Clark & Wilna (Ishmael) Altig. Janet married Donald E. McAtee on January 28, 1962 in Greenview at the Greenview Presbyterian Church. Mourning her passing are her husband, Donald; children, Donna (husband Daniel) Edwards of Greenview, IL, Martin (wife Kelly) McAtee of Greenview, and Deanna (husband Kevin) Waldeck of Waggoner, IL; grandchildren, Gregory (wife Courtney) Edwards of Petersburg, IL, Alyssa (husband Brad) Tucker of Mason City, IL, Jared (husband Rob) Edwards of Phoenix, AZ, and Kyle (wife Faith) Waldeck of Farmersville, IL; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Wilna Altig; older sister, Twila Dowell; and younger brother, Clark UJ Altig.  She graduated from Greenview High School in 195
