Jesse Rice Jr., 77, of Springfield, IL peacefully made his transition on June 18, 2024, at his home.
Jesse was born July 15th, 1946, in Sumner, Mississippi to the union of Jesse Rice Sr and Jo Louella Rice. He would later relocate out west to Oregon, to join Job Corp in 1963, then relocated to Springfield in 1966. He would later meet and marry Jessie True Lee on October 27th, 1969, and to this union came two sons, Erick and Aaron.
Jesse worked as a fence installer for Hurricane Fence Company for many years, he also worked for Coco Cola Bottling company, then eventually started his own fencing company, Capital Fence.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, four brothers, Sam, Floyd, Edward, and Robert; five sisters, Lou Ella, Katie Mae, Estella, Cora and Jessie Lee.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Jessie Rice, sons, Erick and Aaron both of Springfield, three grandchildren, Jada Rice of Atlanta, GA, Nyarrah and Neheim Rice both of Bolingbrook, IL; goddaughter, Mary Ri
