Tommy J. Thompson, 45, of Springfield, died at 12:29 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Tommy was born on December 28, 1977, in Springfield, the son of Richard and Nettie (Hutchens) Thompson.
He earned his HVAC certification and owned and operated Thompson's Heating & Cooling. Tommy was a Harley and Pontiac enthusiast, loved riding and was a member of the Band of Brothers Motorcycle Club. He loved to cook, especially on the grill. He never knew a stranger, whether it was his clients or Club brothers, Tommy always made everyone feel loved and cared for. Tommy was an amazing son, father, brother, and husband, proud grandfather, everyone's best friend, and he will be deeply missed.
Tommy was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Jacob Hutchens; paternal grandparents; aunt, Lillian Brink; and cousins, Christopher Whitehorn and RoseAmber Hutchens.
